Ganga Banks (Shivpuri,approx 20 kms from Rishikesh) is a prime candidate for starting off with River Rafting. With rapids of grade 3, 4 and 5, you can get hands-on experience battling the rapids. With an extremely scenic view, overnight camping in tents and bonfires, this is a Rafting Trip that is not to be missed.
Ganga River is one of the prime rivers of India and is declared as the National River of India. It flows east through the Gangetic plains of Northern India into the country of Bangladesh. The river has immense religious significance and considered as the holy river of the Hindus. Historically too the river is important as many important cities and capitals have been located along its banks. The Ganga sustains one of the world's highest densities of population and drains an area of approximately 1000000 sq. kms.
Ganga Banks - Arrive by lunchtime. Check into your riverside-tented camp. After lunch, we proceed for the first rafting trip from Kaudiyala to Marine Drive. After a briefing session by the Trip leader we start an interesting encounter on rapids like Daniel's Dip (Grade III+) and go on down through The Wall (Grade IV).Evening bonfire & dinner. Overnight Camp
After breakfast we start our second encounter with mighty river Ganga. Raft on the rapids - Good Morning, LMT, Three blind mice, for over 2-3 hrs. Evening free at leisure. Optional trek to haunted house. A bon-fire followed by dinner. Overnight Camp.
After breakfast, we start rafting on rapids - Mickey, Shivpuri, Golf Course, and Roller Coaster and others for 3-4 hrs. Also try out cliff jumping and body surfing. Pull out at Neem Beach. Drive back to the camp. Afternoon free to enjoy Rock climbing and other activities. Evening tea/ snacks. Later bon-fire followed by dinner. Overnight Camp
Raft over the grade 5 rapids of David's dip and the Wall. Overnight camping at Ganga Banks Camp.
After breakfast departure from Ganga Banks Camp.
This rafting trip is meant for people above 14 years of age only. Prior rafting experience is not essential, but good physical fitness is mandatory, and the customer should know how to swim. Additionally, persons suffering from injuries or recovering from injuries or operations are strictly prohibited from participating in this trip.
Meals : All meals (vegetarian only) during the expedition
Accommodation : All accommodation during the trek, be it guest house, home stay or camping
Guide: A qualified and professional English speaking expedition guide and support staff.
Equipment: All rafting equipment such as tents (sharing on a 2/3 people per tent), rafting gear, wet suits, helmets, sleeping bags, mattresses, cooking utensils and crockery.
Fees: This includes all park entrance fees and trekking permits
First aid: A first aid medical kit

Trek size: This trek has a minimum group size of 4 persons and a maximum size of 12 persons. The trek can be customized for a smaller group at reasonable extra cost. Please contact us for customization.
Cancellation policy: if a customer books places in the trek and cancels later, the following charges will be applicable depending on when the cancellation is done.
