    An extremely popular destination for WhiteWater Rafting, the Alaknanda displays her various tempers - stormy and agitated to calm and serene - to the thrill seeker. You can encounter rapids of grade 2 till grade 5 on this stretch, making it a well rounded rafting experience. Come and take a dip in the chilling waters of the Ganges!

    The Alaknanda river flows in the state of Uttarakhand, India and is one of the two headstreams of the Ganga. Having its source in the Satopanth glacier, it is considered to be the source of the Ganges on account of its greater length and discharge

     

  • Itinerary

    Day - I

    Reporting at Ganga Banks (Shivpuri,approx 20 kms from Rishikesh)
    Introduction with our river team
    Departure for Rudraprayag - expected drive time : 6 hrs
    Overnight stay in Rudraprayag

    Day - II

    Early morning wake-up call
    Breakfast
    Preparation : All the camping gear,rations & personal belongings of participants are placed in dry bags and are secured on the cargo raft
    Start Rafting with the Grade III+ rapid - Holy Hole
    Camp for the night

    Day - III

    Wake up, rather unceremoniously, to the sound of nature
    Have breakfast and continue the expedition
    We pass through beautiful landscapes,small villages and unspoiled natural environment
    The trip is sprinkled with lots of small & moderate rapids
    Set up Camp on a beach - arrival shortly after lunch
    Overnight Camping in tents

    Day - IV

    The river will narrow down & flow through a short distance in a gorge. Several exciting rapids to soak in , and enjoy. We finish at Deoprayag which is a small town at the confluence of Alaknanda & Bhagirathi rivers. Overnight camping in tents.

    Day - V

    We raft today upto Byasi for 3-4 hrs
    Also practice river Guiding techniques
    Overnight camp

    Day - VI

    Today we cover the Grade 5 rapids - The Wall & Daniel's Dip
    Raft upto Shivpuri ( 4 hrs )
    Overnight Camp

    Day - VII

    Raft down the Ganges upto Rishikesh
    Enjoy body surfing & cliff jumping
    Overnight Camp

    Day - VIII

    After breakfast departure from Camp .
